[ as if he has any say in that. but he'll also just count things off on his fingers. ]
And we're supposed to go talk to our parents. I need to see Akito again. I'm supposed to graduate high school in a few months. I have to start college. I have more concerts to do with the band. I want to actually record an album with them, too. [ shrugs! ] Plenty of stuff.
[ a sister. nodd has gathered from many years of living not just on the eudora but in general that other people love their siblings. he understands this.
now the akito and the high school and the college parts less so, but nodd has a good mind for working off of context. ]
After all you've been through out in space, I can't believe you're worried about any of that.
I'm a dropout, kid, I don't really understand the value of a good education, but you won't feel... different? Your world doesn't have magic or alien entities or whatever the hells we've dealt with out here. I feel different and I have those things.
[ but maybe that's something cool (as per usual) about kazuki. he continues moving forward. ]
Well, yeah, it'd be impossible to come out of all this shit exactly the same as ever. But what else am I supposed to do? If I go home talking about this stuff, I'll get thrown in a mental health facility in no time.
Besides, I still want to be a pro musician. That'll never change.
Yes and no. My sister's fine, but our parents have their own idea about how things should be, and it doesn't always line up with what we actually want.
Tell that to them. They've already decided what I'm doing with my life and they didn't even ask me about it. They probably won't like that I'm not going with it.

[ some scratchies from the temple fight but nothing remarkable. will go to stand (or sit?) next to kazuki ]
The feeling's mutual. Looking forward to going home?

All good here. [ and he nods. ] And yeah, kind of. There's still a lot that I need to do.

[ tell your not uncle all about it ]
Here, I thought it was straightforward.

Why wouldn't I? Maybe it's all mundane compared to fighting some screwed up space monster, but it's still my life.

And if that sort of drive doesn't take you there, I don't know what secret elixir we should all be looking for instead.

We'll see how my family feels about it. But I've already done a concert and joined a band, so that's the first two steps down.

[ very judicial. nodd doesn't like parents, like, generally, but it won't serve kazuki for him to go off. ]

Sounds familiar. And, all due respect, screw it. It's your life.

...It'd just be nice if they did, is all.
