Not to mention having the lights on, right?

[this planet is so fucking dark. he doesn't mind it, but the inside is a bit nicer.]

Sounds like you're having a good time so far.

Oh? Naturally, or do you have eye augmentations?

[he asks, as he slides into a seat. he's got a beer in hand that he hasn't started drinking yet.]

[help THAT'S JUST THE PC MOOD. where are we. we never know.]

I didn't know anything could be turned off with my arm, either, but it's been different since I got here. Whatever these nanites do, seems like it runs deep.

Y'know, surprisingly, most here are too polite to actually say anything.

[like, he can tell they want to, sometimes, but they keep it to themselves.]

It's an augmentation. Biomimetic. Had it for a while now.

[he's taking a longer pull from his own drink.]

Biomimetic means it's copying somethin' organic. [a bug, in this case.] As for the augmentation part-- well, plenty of people in the City don't keep their original limbs these days. Prosthetics have gotten pretty advanced, and you won't stand a chance if you've ever gotta fight someone with 'em and you don't have any body modifications at all.

They're not always weapons. [...] And most people pick 'em, sure. Sometimes you're stuck with what you can afford, but it's usually at least functional.

It includes most people. Mine's... a different kinda case.

It wasn't a replacement, all right, the situation was different-!

...all right, all right, if you're that curious.

[he can tell when something isn't going to be let go, and while he doesn't offer this up on his own-- the guy's been warned, at least.]

I didn't need a replacement. Never asked for this, either-- this is just what they were experimenting with, at the time.

I'm the 'lucky' subject, y'know. It was more successful with me than the rest.

[thanks for not asking further questions, buddy.

after considering this for a minute:]

Y'know what, surprise me.
