Biomimetic means it's copying somethin' organic. [a bug, in this case.] As for the augmentation part-- well, plenty of people in the City don't keep their original limbs these days. Prosthetics have gotten pretty advanced, and you won't stand a chance if you've ever gotta fight someone with 'em and you don't have any body modifications at all.
They're not always weapons. [...] And most people pick 'em, sure. Sometimes you're stuck with what you can afford, but it's usually at least functional.
Something I haven't told any other crew yet--something I didn't tell my party back home. As an adolescent, I was sent to a boarding academy to fix my behavior. Instead of see it through, I faked my death in a boating accident. I never looked back and I don't regret it.
