It was just weird at first, but - it got really bad, really fast. It was like...

[ he pauses at the touch, forcing himself to stop and take a deep breath. and another. ]

Maybe about half an hour...? I wasn't paying close attention when it started. Everyone was having such a hard time, I couldn't focus on anything.

[ nodd wants to be quiet. doesn't want to fill kazuki's head with more dark thoughts, but the question arises. against his will, it surfaces.

But Dahut was okay before that started. That's the weird thing. Even if Pearce-san really was sick, whatever happened to Dahut... It had to be different.

It would help if we could see the bodies. Maybe that fucking medical officer could come out of the walls or wherever they're all hiding, open the doors, and perform an autopsy.

[ staying away from the obvious problem of not knowing whether those senior crew are to be trusted at all. ]
